I first learned of First Rate Door Systems while surfing through 5-star Yelp reviews for Garage Door Repair after the failure of our aging 27-year old Genie garage door system.

The First Rate installer, Gilbert Valadez, came nice and early the next morning (with a heads-up text), and had the entire install (main box, door tracks, sensors, etc) done in roughly an hour. Gilbert was very affable, and showed me all the things my new Liftmaster garage door system could do, including a phone app and lockout features, which provide security and peace of mind.

The job came in exactly on the original estimate, too.
I couldn't be more satisfied.

I have a 16'x7' wood garage door which is heavy, and an old Genie screw drive garage opener which makes lots of noise while operation. Gilbert came today to replace it with a brand new LiftMaster 87802 DC chain drive opener, completely solved the noise problem. Gilbert is a true expert! He finished the job within 1.5 hours professionally. He also helps me to service the garage door, I really appreciated. I will recommend him to my friends in future.

I was trying to close my garage but it wouldn't close. I tried to troubleshoot it myself but I made it worse. This was around 9pm and was starting to worry since I was traveling the next day. My wife and I started going on yelp to find someone that can help. We called Gilbert and there was no answer. But after a few minutes he called back and we spoke about the issue that I had. He told me that he'll be able to fix it and be at our house in an hour. He arrived in 30 minutes, worked on the problem and was done in less than an hour. He was very professional, knowledgeable and reliable. And he only charged me $285 to fix the problem. I was worried that it'll cost me a lot since one of the companies that I called was quoting me a ridiculous amount. Thank you Gilbert!

The cable of my garage door came off because of improper installation by another company a year ago. Gilbert came to reinstall the cable, installed new rollers, adjusted and lubed everything. Everything works perfectly now and it operates more quietly. I priced this project compared to about 4 other companies and he came out much less expensive. Great price for the great service I got. Timely, competent service for a good value. One of our garage springs broke near the end of the business day, but Gilbert still made every effort to come fix our garage door the same day. After assessing our door, he even went back to his shop nearby to get an additional part in order to be able to finish our service request on the same day.
